Quogue (pronounced Qwag) is a village in Suffolk County, New York. The village rests on the South Shore of Long Island approximately ninety miles east of Manhattan. The village includes fifteen miles of Atlantic Ocean coastline., the village population was estimated at 1,700. The name "Quogue" derives from the Native American word "Quaquanantuck", which translates to "a shaking marsh". Within Quogue are several historic residences that were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.
