East Hampton is a town in Suffolk County, New York. It is the most eastern town on Long Island and the most eastern town in New York State. The town is approximately 120 miles east of Midtown Manhattan. East Hampton is bordered by water on three sides, and the Town of Southampton to the west. The town encompasses a Village of East Hampton and the hamlets of Wainscott, Springs, Amagansett, and Montauk. , the total population was estimated at 29,000.
